Qualifications Required

Applicants must have a relevant first degree in Information Technology/Computer Studies or equivalent plus at least five years post qualification experience or a Master's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent plus at least 2 years' post- qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities

Repairing and maintaining University equipment Selecting and purchasing equipment and consumables for the University; Supervision and coordination of faculty and departmental technicians. Ensuring the security and safety of ICTS Assets; Maintaining and controlling the inventory of ICTS assets and consumables and Setting up and installing equipment and software in offices within the University; Providing first-line Information Technology related support to staff members and students Provide technical support for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of multimedia equipment such as projectors, smart boards, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems. Conduct training sessions or create user guides to help staff and students effectively use university software. Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system changes. Good technical trouble shooting, problem-solving and administrative skills are essential. Good interpersonal communication and student service skills are required. The incumbent will report to the User Support and Training Manager
