Position Overview
The University seeks to recruit applicants with the requisite qualifications, skills, and experience for the following post: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (2 POSTS), Examinations Section. (Internal Advertisement).Applicants must have a working knowledge of academic regulations and requirements
of examinations, results and data management, display knowledge of administration
and business concepts. In addition, exceptional knowledge of University systems of
operation and administrative experience in a higher education environment are
essential. Computer literacy is a requirement.The ideal candidate may work in any Section of the University Administration, but the
initial appointment will be in the Examinations Section.All applications will be treated in strictest confidence. Applications, which should include

Qualifications Required
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Business Management,
or related field and at least one-year relevant post-qualification experience.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to demonstrate a high level of organisational skills, including multi-tasking
and prioritizing a full workload, in order to work effectively whilst under pressure.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff Keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Motivation and drive to work enthusiastically in an administrative role within an
educational setting
Flexibility in terms of working hours and adapting to any changes in the working
environment.
Good general IT skills and understanding of multiple IT systems;
High levels of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
Key Responsibilities
The duties will include the following:
Supporting the logistics for examination sessions, including timetabling and venue
allocation.
Help in the record keeping related to results, post results services and other related
administrative tasks.
Liaising with departments on the appointment and payment of External Examiners.
Facilitating travel and accommodation arrangements for external examiners in liaison
with the departments.
Ordering and handling the distribution of stationery in the Section.
Performing any other duties as delegated by the Examinations Officer
