The University seeks to recruit one (1) highly qualified candidate for the position of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor as a Data Scientist in Mathematics within the department of Statistics and Operations Research.

Qualifications Required
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in any of the following fields: Operations Research and Statistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, and possess a Master of Science degree in at least one of the following: Big Data Science, Data Analytics, and/or Mathematical Sciences (with significant machine learning content; a PhD will be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Relevant teaching experience and publications in the field are a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of undergraduate modules related to data analysis, machine learning, financial analytics, and expert systems, as well as advanced topics such as computational statistics and simulation modelling at the postgraduate level.
