Position Overview
We are searching for a project electrical engineer who is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects. They plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
Qualifications Required
- BSc degree in electrical engineering or similar.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- A registered member of the ZIE and ECZ.
- A project management certificate will be an added advantage
- Sound experience with CAD software and MS Office.
- A sound understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- A valid class 4 driver's license.

Key Responsibilities
- Analysing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given project.
- Liaising with other engineers and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects.
- Ensuring health and safety codes are obeyed at all times.
- Completing quality assurance on all electrical components and projects, and writing up reports.
- Using CAD software to draft designs.
- Analyzing and approving various construction and engineering plans.
- Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment.
- Ensuring all deadlines and budgetary requirements are met.
- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering.
- Liaising with project team, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
