JUNIOR PROJECTS OFFICER (1 POST)

Position Overview

The Junior Projects Officer reports to the Project Officer and will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects within the institution by assisting in administrative, technical, and monitoring activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in line with organizational objectives.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in project coordination or administration
  • Experience in a university, construction, or institutional environment is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and funding applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and schedules
  • Support project coordination, including organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reports
  • Assist in budget tracking and procurement processes for project activities
  • Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Conduct site visits and inspections (where applicable) to monitor project activities
  • Identify risks and issues and report them to the Project Manager
  • Support data collection, analysis, and preparation of project reports
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and funding applications.
