Position Overview
Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at tertiary level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and conduct research in the following areas: Data Science, Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, Information Systems Management, and Artificial Intelligence for Information Management. The successful candidate will further be expected to provide academic supervision and mentorship to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, contributing meaningfully to the intellectual growth and research output of the department.
Qualifications Required
- Applicants should possess an interdisciplinary combination of qualifications in Library and Information Science and Computer Science. Applicants must meet one of the following qualification profiles:
- Applicants should hold at least a BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science (upper second class or better) and a postgraduate degree at MSc level in Library and Information Science. OR
- Applicants should hold at least a BSc in Library and Information Science (upper second class or better) and a postgraduate degree at MSc level in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science.
Skills & Competencies
The successful candidate will further be expected to provide academic supervision and mentorship to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, contributing meaningfully to the intellectual growth and research output of the department.
