Position Overview

The successful applicant should be able to conduct research and teach a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A strong orientation towards Port Health, Meat Hygiene Technologies, Food Hygiene, Food Safety Management Systems, and the ability to effectively engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of food technologies will be an added advantage. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

Qualifications Required

Applicants must hold a minimum qualification of Master of Science in Food Science, Food Technology, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field, coupled with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Food Science, Environmental Science and Health, Public Health, or a closely associated discipline. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach, provide university service, supervise, and undertake research at university level. Candidates with a relevant PHD qualification will have an added advantage.
